Web Developer, SEO & Content Automation (Full Remote)

Context

We run SEO-driven websites in highly competitive and multilingual markets, with a long-term focus on organic growth and scalable content production. Our environment is entrepreneurial, data-driven, and execution-focused, and AI is now at the core of how we produce.

Content is at the heart of our strategy. To scale efficiently, we are building internal tools that automate content creation, optimization, translation, and publication. We are looking for a Web Developer to design and build these tools, using AI heavily to go faster, while staying the engineer who decides what is solid enough to ship.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing the internal tools that support and automate SEO and content operations, with direct, hands-on involvement from day one. The role is primarily backend-oriented, but includes building functional internal interfaces (admin tools, dashboards, configuration screens) when needed.

SEO strategy is defined by dedicated profiles. Your job is to translate SEO and content needs into robust, efficient technical systems. You will use AI heavily across your workflow to build and automate at scale, but you stay the engineer who reads, reviews, and debugs everything that goes into production.

Key Responsibilities (Short Term)

  • Develop internal tools that automate content creation using AI.
  • Build backend systems that transform inputs (keywords, briefs, existing articles, URLs) into structured, SEO-ready content.
  • Implement solutions to translate and adapt existing content into multiple languages.
  • Enable automated or semi-automated publishing (WordPress, static HTML, or other formats depending on use cases).
  • Build internal interfaces to operate these systems.
  • Design architectures that are flexible and not tied exclusively to WordPress.
  • Use AI across your workflow to build faster, with a critical, expert eye on every line that ships.
  • Collaborate closely with SEO and content profiles to iterate and improve the tools.
  • Ensure reliability, maintainability, and performance of everything you build.

Profile Required

This role is for an experienced developer first. Advanced AI skills are required on top of that, not instead of it. We are not looking for someone who only ships AI-generated code they can't review or debug.

Must-Have

  • Strong experience as a Web Developer, with a backend-oriented mindset and real, hands-on engineering experience.
  • Solid proficiency in PHP as the main server-side language.
  • Good knowledge of MySQL / relational databases.
  • Proven track record building backend tools, scripts, or internal platforms in production.
  • Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build functional internal interfaces.
  • Ability to design clean, readable, and maintainable code.
  • Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals (search intent, structure, on-page logic).
  • Advanced, thoughtful use of AI to build and automate at scale, with the judgment to tell good code from bad and the ability to read, review, and debug it.
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver production-ready solutions in a remote, asynchronous environment.
  • English required as the working language within an international team.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience interacting with WordPress programmatically (APIs, hooks, plugins, data structure).
  • Ability to build custom tools or plugins to support publishing and automation needs.
  • Previous work on automation, content generation, or AI-powered tools.
  • Experience working with APIs, including AI APIs.
  • Familiarity with multilingual websites and their SEO-related constraints.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset, pragmatic and focused on real-world usage rather than over-engineering.
  • Ability to understand business needs, turn them into technical solutions, and communicate clearly with non-technical profiles.
