YouTube Channel Manager (Full Remote)

Full Remote Europe / Asia

Context

We run SEO-driven and media projects in highly competitive industries. After building strong foundations in SEO and written content, we now want to develop a high-performance YouTube growth lever, focused on execution, engagement, and long-term scalability. AI is now at the core of how we produce.

We are looking for an experienced profile to design, produce, and grow YouTube channels capable of generating qualified, scalable traffic, using smart processes and AI to move faster without ever lowering the bar on quality.

The Role

You will be responsible for the entire YouTube channel, from strategy to execution. This is a highly hands-on role: you must be able to do everything yourself (or almost everything) at the beginning. It is not a pure management or advisory role.

You will use AI heavily across your production, but you stay the person who decides what is good and what actually ships. The objective is clear: execute first, prove results, and only then potentially scale by building a team (editors, scriptwriters, and so on).

Strategic decisions (formats, positioning, persona, languages) will be defined progressively, in close collaboration with the founder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the YouTube strategy.
  • Create performance-driven videos focused on retention, engagement, and CTR (titles and thumbnails).
  • Write or structure video scripts.
  • Handle end-to-end production: editing, sound design, visuals, and thumbnails.
  • Use AI extensively to generate visual assets, produce high-quality voice-overs (human or AI), speed up workflows, and localize videos into multiple languages, always with a critical, expert eye on every output.
  • Publish, optimize, and monitor performance (watch time, CTR, retention).
  • Continuously test, iterate, and improve formats and production processes.
  • Collaborate with SEO and content teams to keep content consistent across the company.

Profile We're Looking For

This role is for an experienced video creator first. You must really understand what makes a video work, ideally from hands-on experience creating videos yourself. If you are exceptional with AI video tools and genuinely grasp the craft, that counts too. What we don't want is someone who churns out AI clips with no sense of what is actually good.

Must-Have

  • Proven experience managing and growing YouTube channels.
  • Concrete experience in highly competitive niches (mandatory).
  • Demonstrated ability to produce videos that perform, not just analyze them.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube mechanics: algorithm, retention, engagement, CTR, and thumbnails.
  • Solid mastery of video editing tools.
  • Advanced, thoughtful use of AI applied to video production, with the judgment to tell good from bad.
  • Working level of English for team communication (fluency not required).

Languages

  • Native language preferred: French, Spanish, Italian, or German.
  • Ability to produce high-quality videos in your native language.
  • Ability to scale content into other languages using AI.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building scalable video production systems.
  • Understanding of how YouTube fits into a broader SEO and organic acquisition strategy.
  • Ability to structure projects before structuring teams.

Personal Qualities

  • A sharp eye for detail: you notice the small things others miss, and you don't let typos, sloppy formatting, or a broken layout slip through.
  • You listen to feedback and put it into practice. We shouldn't need to make the same point twice.
  • High autonomy and ownership: you structure your own work and follow through without constant supervision.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization, able to keep multiple productions moving in parallel.
  • Execution-oriented and accountable, focused on measurable video performance.

Work Conditions

  • Fully remote, with the team distributed between Europe and Asia (time zone compatibility expected).
  • Long-term collaboration with a flexible setup depending on location.
  • Entrepreneurial environment with high autonomy and real ownership.

Compensation

  • Competitive compensation based on profile, experience, and location.
  • Performance-based bonuses possible.

Hiring Process

  1. First interview (background, YouTube experience, execution mindset).
  2. Practical case study or production-oriented test.
  3. Final interview.

Why This Role Is Different

  • You build a YouTube channel from scratch.
  • You are evaluated on what you produce, not on recommendations.
  • High autonomy with clear performance goals.
  • Potential evolution into a more strategic or managerial role if results are delivered.

How to Apply

  • Write your email in English.
  • State clearly in the subject line which position you are applying for.
  • Attach your CV.
  • Include a cover letter explaining your motivation and relevant experience.
